DMCA Notice & Takedown

Our position

FilmAura does not host, upload, store, record or encode any video files on its own servers. The site is an index that links to and embeds media players operated by independent third-party services. All titles, artwork and descriptive metadata are supplied by publicly available APIs. Any playable stream you encounter here is delivered directly by the third-party provider whose player is embedded, and FilmAura has no control over, and no ability to remove, files stored on those services.

If your work appears here

Because we store nothing, the fastest and most effective route is to send your notice to the provider actually hosting the file. We will nevertheless remove any embed or index entry from FilmAura on receipt of a valid notice, and we will pass the details on to the host where we can identify them.

How to file a notice

Send an email to our designated agent with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Request". Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed — the exact title, and the season and episode number where applicable.
3. The full URL of every FilmAura page you are asking us to act on, so the material can be located. Notices that name only a title, or only our domain, cannot be processed.
4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

What happens next

• We acknowledge valid notices within 48 hours.
• Affected links and embeds are disabled within 72 hours of acknowledgement.
• Where the hosting provider is identifiable, we forward your notice to them.
• We keep a record of all notices received and the action taken.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It must identify the removed material and its former location, include your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court, and your signature.

Misuse of this process

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.
